Career Pathways
Early Learning Connection provides flexible career pathways in early childhood education.
Join us and be supported in the profession, with other women just like you.
Choose from our flexible pathways, where you will be supported to study, work and receive coaching.
Take the next step
Begin your Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care through flexible, self-paced delivery, while working and receiving coaching support.
This pathway provides 6 months of support.
-
You will be given financial assistance to study towards a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care through either a traineeship or skilled capital funded place. Be supported to study through flexible delivery at your own pace, while working and building on your leadership skills with other educators.
Traineeship Pathway:
Through your traineeship you will be eligible for paid study time which you can organise with your employer to take weekly, fortnightly, or monthly.
You might also be eligible to receive an ‘Australian Apprentice Training Support Payment.’ You can find our more about this payment here: Financial support for apprentices in priority occupations
Your employer may also be eligible to apply for the Priority Wage Subsidy once you have signed up for your traineeship. For more information, head to the MAS National website.
Skilled Capital Funded Pathway:
Skilled Capital Funding does not have a 'minimum number of work hours' requirement and is accessible for casual educators and those not yet employed.
You can find out more about skilled capital funded places here, or reach out to our team for more information.
-
If you're currently working at an early learning centre, we can support you and your employer to continue working.
If you're not currently working, our educator coaches can support you to explore opportunities to work casually or part-time at an early learning centre.
Whilst studying, you will be able to apply what you’re learning, receive on the job training and learn best practice from experienced educators.
You will build relationships with children and families and be part of a growing community of early childhood education professionals.
-
You will have your own educator coach to help you balance work, study, life commitments and most importantly, your own wellbeing.
You will be supported to develop your goals, identify any challenges, and be empowered to embrace your career.
If you have children under 5 years, your coach can help you enroll them at a centre while you work and study.
